ถึงแม้ว่าปี 2011 นี้จะยังไม่จบลงซะทีเดียว แต่ทางด้านของ BIGLOBE ก็ได้เปิดเผยรายชื่อที่ติดอันดับสูงสุดในทวิตเตอร์เทรนด์ของญี่ปุ่นตลอดปี 2011ซึ่งการรวบรวมนี้ มีระยะเวลาตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 มกราคม – 1 พฤศจิกายน 2011 เวลา 4.00 น. จากจำนวนทวิต 6,849,886,070 ข้อความ มีค่าเฉลี่ยทวิตต่อวันอยู่ที่ 22,532,520 ข้อความ และวันที่มีการทวิตมากที่สุด คือวันที่ 21 กันยายน 54 ด้วยจำนวนทวิตสูงสุด 34,191,420 ข้อความ
โดยรายชื่อในหมวดทั่วไปนั้น อาจจะไม่ได้นอกเหนือความคาดหมายแต่อย่างใด ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่ก็จะเกี่ยวกับเหตุการณ์แผ่นดินไหวครั้งยิ่งใหญ่ของญี่ปุ่น เมื่อเดือนมีนาคม และนอกเหนือจากเรื่องทั่วๆ ไปแล้ว เทรนด์เกี่ยวกับดารา-นักแสดง ก็มีการรวบรวมมาให้ดูเช่นเดียวกัน โดยอันดับที่ 1 ของปี 2011 นั้น ตกเป็นของไอดอลสาวกลุ่ม AKB48 นั่นเอง …
